Shankar Mahadevan Academy was founded in 2011 by singer-composer Shankar Mahadevan with a vision to bring Indian music education to the masses. The Academy is the first school for Indian music in the world to bring high quality Indian music education through live, online classes. The Academy's mission is to spread the "Joy of Music". The Academy has reached over 88 countries, has taught over 38000 students online, in centres and via its school programs. The Academy operates 18 hours a day, 7 days a week and has conducted over 250,000 virtual classes till date. The Academy offers courses in Hindustani Vocals, Carnatic Vocals, Voice Gym, Movie Songs, Music for Children, Guitar, Piano, Keyboard and many more - for beginners to advanced learners.
