(AST) currently operates three manufacturing plants in mainland China, specifically two located in Shanghai that manufacture 300 mm silicon wafers and reclaimed silicon wafers, and one in Chongqing producing 200 mm silicon wafers. The Shanghai plant's production line is fully automated and equipped with intelligent technology to manufacture 300 mm polished and epitaxial wafers necessary for advanced integrated circuit fabrication. The Chongqing plant specializes in 200 mm silicon wafers in integrated circuits, such as polished wafers, epitaxial wafers and silicon-on-insulator wafers.
