Established in 1999 by Lewis Peterson and six industry veterans, the company developed console video games featuring top-tier entertainment properties such as The Sopranos, Fantastic Four, Shrek the Third, and Pirates of the Caribbean, along with original properties.
Acquired by Activision in April 2009 as a AAA music game development team, Seven Studios contributed to multiple titles in the Guitar Hero and DJ Hero franchises until its closure in June 2011.
