RSL Australia
RSL Australia, founded in 1916, is the nation’s largest Ex-Service Organisation with over 147,000 members. The organization has been advocating for benefits, treatment, and welfare of ex-service and serving members of the ADF for more than a century. It was initially established to address the lack of repatriation facilities and medical services for those returning from service in the Great War.
RSL Australia continues its mission of compassion and service, adapting to meet the evolving needs of servicemen and women across generations. The organization serves as a key contributor to policy development and engages in public debate and education to raise awareness about issues related to the Veterans’ Affairs portfolio.
While the Branch Headquarters in each State and Territory cater to grassroots members, the national office in Canberra coordinates and promotes the organization's national interests. It represents the organization's concerns to Parliamentarians, Government, various Government Departments, and other relevant bodies.
RSL Australia operates primarily in the Health and Wellness and Human Resources industries, providing essential support and advocacy for the welfare of ex-service members.
