RLU is an integrated natural rubber company, pioneer, and leader in sustainable natural rubber production. Established in 2015, it is a part of the Michelin Group, one of the world's largest tire producers. Through its subsidiaries, RLU manages over 88,000 hectares of natural rubber in Jambi and East Kalimantan, and operates the first and only remilling factory in East Kalimantan. The company transforms unproductive areas destroyed by illegal logging and "slash-and-burn" practices into productive lands through reforestation and rubber planting. Rubber trees are planted on 50% of RLU's concession lands, while the remaining lands are set aside for community livelihood and conservation. As Indonesia's first-ever sustainable rubber plantations, RLU serves as an example of environmentally conscious and community-focused business practices. The company emphasizes the production of quality rubber to provide sustainable livelihoods for workers and communities while protecting the environment and contributing to the local and national economy.
