Rentel NV is a Belgian offshore wind concession that aims to contribute to a sustainable future by providing renewable energy to approximately 300,000 Belgian households. The project, developed, built, and operated by Otary, a joint venture alliance of 8 Belgian companies specialized in renewable energy, is located 40 km north of the Otaru headquarters in Ostend. With a maximum installed capacity of 309 MW, the Rentel offshore wind farm consists of 42 SiemensGamesa 7.0-154 wind turbines and has been operational since November 2018. Their last venture round investment, led by S.R.I.W., was secured on 16 December 2011. The company, founded in 2013, contributes to the clean energy sector and is an integral part of the continued growth and development of the renewable energy industry in Belgium.
