Releaf Paper is a trailblazing sustainable paper products manufacturer that utilizes fallen leaves to create eco-friendly pulp and paper. The company, founded in 2022 and headquartered in France, has garnered a substantial €2.50M grant investment from The European Innovation Council on 21 December 2022. The innovative technology employed in extracting fibers from fallen leaves originated as a Ukrainian student's school project in 2018, subsequently advancing to laboratory and industrial testing. The pilot production commenced in 2021 in Ukraine, utilizing outsourced paper mill equipment. Releaf Paper's approach not only addresses waste disposal but also offers a sustainable solution for packaging manufacturing. By repurposing urban green waste, they contribute to the circular economy while providing brand owners with visually appealing and functional biowaste-based packaging materials.
