RealSpeaker is an Ireland-based startup founded in 2016. The company offers an AI-based multi-lingual transcription platform with a slogan "RealSpeaker’s AI-based multi-lingual transcription platform. It has the ability to machine transcribe any kind of media." RealSpeaker's last investment round was a €30.00K Seed Round investment on 11 August 2017 led by NDRC. RealSpeaker’s platform addresses the problem of time-consuming and costly manual transcription of audio and video files. It allows content owners in SMEs to make their media content accessible and searchable, especially for companies generating large amounts of media such as Telco’s, media companies, and marketers and researchers. RealSpeaker's competitive advantage lies in its use of deep learning technology to automatically transcribe media files in any format without restricting the file length. Their target customer base includes medium-sized telecoms, media companies, and universities who have vast amounts of valuable data tied up in non-searchable media files. With a live beta already demonstrating the technology, RealSpeaker is actively developing its full product, which will include an interface that mines information and insight from the content, making it searchable for the content owner.
