Ratio Energies is a leading energy limited partnership founded in 1992 with a mission to explore, develop, and produce oil and natural gas. Traded on leading indices on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange, including Tel -Aviv 125 (TA-125) and Tel-Aviv oil and gas, the partnership was founded by the Landau and Rotlevy families, Mr. Zvi Tsafriri, and Mr. Eitan Aizenberg, the prospect generator of the Leviathan discovery who serves as Ratio’s Chief Geologist since its inception. In 2010, Ratio and its partners discovered Leviathan – one of the largest deep water natural gas discoveries in the world, estimated at c. 22.8 TCF of natural gas. At the end of December 2019, production commenced from the Leviathan reservoir with natural gas delivered to customers in the Israeli market. In January 2020, delivery of natural gas to Jordan and Egypt has started. Believing in the potential of the Levant Basin, the partnership made a strategic decision to expand its petroleum assets in the region. In October 2019, Ratio and two international energy partners: Pharos Energy and Cairn Energy (who serves as the operator) were awarded two offshore zones (4 blocks each). Additionally, Ratio Energies holds ~20% of the partnership Ratio Petroleum Energy (TLV: RTPT.L), which is active in oil and gas exploration around the world. With its stronghold in Israel and remarkable achievements in the energy sector, Ratio Energies presents an intriguing investment opportunity for venture capitalists looking to tap into the oil and gas industry within the region.
