Ramsey Rescue Squad

Ramsey Rescue Squad is an independent heavy rescue squad aiming to serve the Borough of Ramsey in various capacities, including vehicle extrication, technical rescue, and more. Established in 1956, the squad's functions encompass a wide range of rescue operations such as vehicle extrication, hazardous materials decontamination, water and ice rescues, and support for the local fire department, ambulance corps, and police department. As a non-profit 501(c)3 entity, the squad relies on operational and capital funding from the Borough of Ramsey, while also generating financial support from the private sector to sustain day-to-day operations, equipment procurement, and member training. Originally founded as a Civil Defense Unit, the Ramsey Rescue Squad has over fifty years of experience and continues to expand its capabilities in emergency response.
