Qatar Computing Research Institute

Qatar Computing Research Institute (QCRI) is a national research institute founded in 2010 by Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development, a private, non-profit organization dedicated to aiding Qatar's shift from a carbon-based economy to a knowledge-based one. QCRI contributes to Qatar Foundation's mission by enhancing Qatar's innovation and technology capabilities, focusing on addressing significant computing challenges that align with national growth and development priorities. Their research areas include Arabic language technologies, social computing, data analytics, distributed systems, cyber security, and computational science and engineering. The research activities at QCRI align with the Qatar National Research Strategy and support the strategic priorities of Qatar National Vision 2030.
