PT Surya Citra Media, Tbk is a holding company established in 1999 that operates multimedia and consultancy services in the media and related business. Its primary objective is to expand the scope of PT Surya Citra Televisi (SCTV), one of the largest TV broadcasting stations in Indonesia. Despite SCTV being legally limited to broadcasting operations, the potential for an integrated multimedia services group is compelling. This led to the creation of PT Surya Citra Media (SCM), ushering in a promising multimedia group with long-term growth opportunities. SCM acquired 100% share of SCTV between November 2001 and April 2002 and subsequently went public in July 2002.
