Established in 1987, PT Sigma Cipta Caraka (later known as, telkomsigma) started as an IBM chosen partner offering hardware to Indonesian local banks. In 1989, it developed its own core-banking system, called AlphaBITS, utilized by 35 mid-sized banks. In 1997, it launched data center and outsourcing services to support local banks during the global economic hardship. In 2008, telkomsigma was acquired by a subsidiary of the largest information and telecommunications provider in Indonesia, TELKOM.
Now, telkomsigma offers comprehensive IT services for banking (conventional and sharia-based), financial, telecommunication, manufacturing, distribution, and other sectors.
