ProFuse Technology is a biotechnology startup based in Israel that specializes in developing technologies and products for muscle cultivation within the cultivated meat and life science industries. Leveraging six years of research conducted at the Weizmann Institute of Science, the company offers solutions including cell lines, media supplements, and cultivation methods. Their flagship product, PROFUSE-S1, is a differentiation media supplement that accelerates the differentiation, fusion, and maturation rate of muscle progenitor cells, enhancing the efficiency of muscle studies.

The company's products are integrated seamlessly into cultivated meat companies' processes, enabling efficient and cost-effective production of nutritious and authentic cultivated meat. Moreover, ProFuse's technology advantages extend to the life science sector, facilitating the effective cultivation of in vitro muscle models for applications in drug discovery and tissue engineering, as well as the production of muscle-related proteins.

Established in 2021, ProFuse received seed investment from leading industry and financial investors. The startup's early success was underscored by winning Israel's FOODTECH Start-ups Summit competition. In 2022, ProFuse secured an additional $3 million in seed funding, with Green-Circle, a New York-based foodtech fund, leading the round. The most recent investment of €2.40M was received as a grant from the European Innovation Council on 08 May 2024.
