ProDeaf

ProDeaf is a software startup that specializes in translating text and voice into Portuguese Libras, the Brazilian Sign Language. Established in 2013, the company's primary goal is to facilitate communication between deaf and hearing-impaired individuals. ProDeaf boasts notable partnerships with organizations such as Wayra Brasil, Telefônica's business accelerator, and Bradesco Seguros. Notably, Bradesco Seguros has integrated ProDeaf into its website to provide interpretation in Libras. In 2012, ProDeaf earned recognition from Microsoft LATAM as Partner of the Year in the Citizenship category and was acknowledged by the Brazilian Federation of Banks as the most innovative project at CIAB Febraban. Additionally, the company has received support from Google for Startups in the form of non-equity assistance investment as of 01 July 2016. The multidisciplinary team at ProDeaf consists of programmers, linguists, designers, translators, and Deaf individuals, collaborating to better understand Libras and address the daily challenges faced by people with disabilities.
