Princeton-Blairstown Center (PBC) is an education organization founded in 1908, aiming to serve young people from historically marginalized communities by nurturing their social-emotional skills through experiential, environmental, and adventure-based programming. The center collaborates with schools, university partners, and community-based agencies to develop in youth deepened self-awareness, responsible decision-making, teamwork, and leadership skills. PBC's educational methodology combines critical thinking skills, experiential education facilitating Social Emotional Learning, and practical applications in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM).
With a wide variety of year-round, multi-service programs, PBC serves over 6,000 students from the Mid-Atlantic states, many of whom confront the challenges and risk factors of urban poverty daily. Furthermore, the center is committed to sustainability, including using renewable energy and conserving resources.
Notably, Princeton Area Community Foundation made a grant investment in PBC on 20 January 2023. Support for PBC's mission and programs can be offered by visiting the Donate Now page on their website to make a contribution.
