Presto

Presto was a company founded in 2004 and based in the United States. They developed Presto Mail, a hardware and cloud solution for delivering email, photos, and PDF documents to elder family members who did not have a computer or Internet connection. The service, unfortunately, was discontinued in September of 2017. Presto had received a $10.00M investment in a Venture Round on 23 May 2006, with Kleiner Perkins and Clearstone Venture Partners as the investors. The company operated in the Messaging industry. Although the Presto Mail service is no longer active, its innovative approach to bridging the digital divide for older adults could provide insights for future ventures aiming to address similar demographic and technological challenges.
