PollDaddy is a Developer Tools startup offering polling widgets for blogs, websites, and social networks. It recently partnered with Piczo to provide poll services to its 30 million users, integrating PollDaddy's poll-making features directly into Piczo's profile editor.
Beyond basic polls, PollDaddy aims to provide a comprehensive suite of data-collecting tools. This includes a new online survey tool, a generic form generator for creating contact forms, and a quiz generator. These tools build on the success of PollDaddy's well-known poll widget, which has garnered 70,000 users and receives 70 million views per month.
The service offers eleven widget skins and allows users to input custom CSS to match their site. Users can embed the code in blog posts, sidebars, or link directly to the poll on PollDaddy's platform. Data can be exported as XML, CSV, or accessed via RSS feeds. With the new advanced survey editor, users can create multi-question, multi-page surveys.
PollDaddy operates as a self-funded, two-person team based in Ireland and is planning to secure its first round of financing by mid-2008. Competing services include Quible, Vizu, Toulana, Survey Monkey, and CircleUp.
