PLAZM
PLAZM is a creative, content, and design studio founded in Portland, Ore., in 1991 with the launch of Plazm magazine. The company has a strong track record, having been nominated for the Cooper Hewitt National Design Award in 2019. Starting as a cooperatively published, not-for-profit periodical in the early 1990s, Plazm magazine played a significant role in igniting the creative community in Portland. Over the years, the company has expanded to serve a diverse client base including big names like Nike, LucasFilm, and MTV, as well as local businesses and nonprofits such as PICA, the Northwest Film Center, and Fort George Brewery.
The recent re-launch of Plazm by co-founders Niko Courtelis and Joshua Berger signifies a new chapter for the studio. With a focus on font design, editorial content, and public policy, the company has been making strategic moves. Furthermore, the publication of Plazm magazine by PICA under Josh’s leadership as the founding Art Director strengthens the company's position in the market.
With its roots deeply embedded in the creative and design space, PLAZM is well positioned to continue its growth and maintain its reputation as a leading player in the advertising, design, marketing, and publishing industries.
