Pasadena Tournament of Roses
The Pasadena Tournament of Roses is an iconic New Year's Day tradition, bringing people together to create premier events and entertainment celebrating the New Year. The Rose Parade travels 5 ½ miles down Colorado Blvd. and features four types of entries. It includes floral-decorated floats entered by participating corporations, non-profit organizations, or municipalities, equestrian units, bands, and Tournament Entries. Established in 1890, the event has evolved from welcoming 3,000 spectators to a worldwide televised spectacle. Today, it showcases marvels of technology concealed beneath natural materials.
The Tournament of Roses Association consists of 935 volunteer members, also known as "White Suiters". These community-spirited individuals contribute over 80,000 hours of combined service annually. The Rose Parade is broadcast live in the U.S. by several networks/stations, further extending its global impact. Despite its rich history and cultural significance, the organization's specific industries and recent investors remain undisclosed.
