Paraquad is a private 501(c)(3), nonprofit organization founded in 1970 with the mission to empower people with disabilities to increase their independence through choice and opportunity. It is one of the oldest Centers for Independent Living in the United States, advocating the independent living philosophy and striving for an integrated community where people with disabilities are valued and participate in all aspects of society.
