Paintbucket Games is an indie studio founded in 2018 by former AAA developers Jörg Friedrich and Sebastian St. Schulz, with the mission to develop impactful video games with a strong narrative. The studio gained recognition with their first game "Through the Darkest of Times," focusing on coordinating a civilian resistance group during the Nazi era, winning numerous awards in 2020. As a member of "GAME – Verband der deutschen Games-Branche" and part of the "Saftladen" in Berlin Mitte, a collective of award-winning game development studios, they benefit from shared infrastructure and knowledge for expedited production. Currently, the studio is working on The Darkest Files.
