Oxla is a Polish startup founded in 2020, offering a self-hosted OLAP database and query engine. With a focus on ultra-efficiency in compute and memory usage, Oxla aims to revolutionize on-prem analytics by providing a solution that enhances performance, streamlines the tech stack, and reduces costs.
Amidst a data infrastructure industry increasingly directed towards cloud-based solutions, on-prem analytics has been constrained by outdated, complex, and costly proprietary and open-source alternatives. Oxla addresses this gap through a radically vectorized MPP query engine, designed to fully leverage modern hardware and optimize data transfer between CPU and RAM.
Their goal is to empower data engineers to construct contemporary on-prem data warehouses. By replacing specialized real-time and time-series tools with a versatile OLAP engine, Oxla promises subsecond query latency without requiring performance tuning. Additionally, it enables companies to maximize the potential of their existing hardware, delaying the need for expensive upgrades.
Notably, Oxla secured a €10.15M Seed Round investment on 22 October 2024, with funding from TQ Ventures, Warsaw Equity Group, Lead Ventures, and 4growth VC. This investment reflects the confidence of these venture capital firms in the potential of Oxla and its innovative approach to on-prem analytics in the Analytics, Big Data, and Data Analytics sectors.
