Ostdeutscher Sparkassenverband (OSV) is the interest group and service provider for its member savings banks and their owners. Operating in the regions of Brandenburg, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Saxony, and Saxony-Anhalt, it is unique among the 12 regional associations of savings banks for covering four states within one association. The OSV's headquarters in Berlin, under the leadership of Managing President , defines the association's political principles. Responsible for the overall banking expertise of the OSV, Deputy Managing Director Wolfgang Zender supports savings banks comprehensively in various professional areas, including market and sales concept development, as well as advising on business, personnel, and legal matters. The OSV's auditing office in Berlin provides auditing and consulting services on business and tax matters to member savings banks. Additionally, the North-Eastern German Savings Banks Academy (NOSA) serves as an educational institution for the association and savings banks' staff in Berlin, Potsdam, and Kiel. As a regional association, the OSV represents the interests of saving banks within the German savings bank organization and is a member of the German Savings Banks Association (DSGV).
