Founded in 1996, Orchid Cancer Appeal is the UK’s leading charity specializing in male-specific cancers. Founded by testicular cancer patient Colin Osborne and oncologist Professor Tim Oliver, the organization funds a world-class research program, awareness and education campaigns, and provides vital support services to those affected by or interested in testicular, prostate, and penile cancer. These services include Orchid Male Cancer Information Nurse Specialists, a National Male Cancer Helpline, and various educational resources.
Orchid works closely with health and social care professionals, community groups, schools, universities, and not-for-profit organizations to raise awareness and advocate for better care and services. Despite immense success, the demand for their services continues to rise, and the organization relies entirely on voluntary income to sustain its commitments.
