One Health Institute at UC Davis is a globally active institute, focused on addressing complex health and conservation issues at the intersection of animals, people, plants, and the environment. Stemming from the UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine, it incorporates the well-established Wildlife Health Center. Led by Executive Director Dr. Jonna A.K. Mazet, DVM, MVPM, PhD, the institute presents innovation and leadership not only within UC Davis but also across the UC system, state and federal agencies, and international partners.
The One Health Institute encompasses the Karen C. Drayer Wildlife Health Center, California Raptor Center, EpiCenter for Disease Dynamics, OHI Laboratory, and the UC Global Health Institute Planetary Health Center of Expertise. Since its founding in 1940, the institute operates in the Education sector and secured a grant investment from The Avangrid Foundation on 07 February 2023.
