Oklahoma Baptist Homes for Children (OBHC) is the largest provider of private, not-for-profit, residential childcare in the state. Founded in 1903, OBHC serves more than 200 at-risk youth and families at four campus locations across United States. The organization not only addresses the physical needs but also focuses on the emotional, educational, and spiritual well-being of the children and families it serves.
The Children's Hope program offered by OBHC provides a loving home, guidance, and support to single mothers and their children at multiple locations in Oklahoma City, Owasso, and Madill. Additionally, OBHC operates five Hope Pregnancy Centers in Oklahoma City (2), Edmond, Ardmore, and Tulsa, aiming to provide support to young men and women facing unplanned pregnancies, offering services such as free pregnancy testing, ultrasounds, education on pregnancy options, adoption, and parenting classes.
OBHC further expands its services through One Such Child, seeking to connect foster children with churches and families willing to provide care, and LifeWize, a program that focuses on providing education to middle and high school students on goal setting, decision making, healthy relationships, and sexual risk avoidance. Additionally, Northwest Ministries collaborates with community partners and churches to promote and implement OBHC ministries in the northwest part of Oklahoma.
