OAM

OAM (Organismo Agenti e Mediatori) is the exclusive and independent body for managing the Lists of Financial Agents and Credit Mediators. Founded in 2011 in Italy, OAM's mission is to protect consumers in the credit market by ensuring the professionalism of its members, monitoring their activities to ensure compliance with regulations, and providing reliable public information about the registered members.

OAM also sets the standards for professional training and development courses and the content and conduct of the Examination and Evaluation Test. It has sanctioning powers over its members and is under the oversight of the Bank of Italy. The Vigilance Office of OAM conducts inspections to verify ongoing compliance with sector regulations and investigates any violations by its members.

The ultimate goal of the Vigilance Office is to engage in dialogue with Agents and Mediators to offer the highest level of professionalism in serving citizens in need of credit.
