Northeast Energy Efficiency Partnerships (NEEP)

Northeast Energy Efficiency Partnerships (NEEP) is a non-profit organization established in 1996. Their mission is to accelerate energy efficiency, electrification, and grid flexibility in the building sector to reduce climate pollution and build a sustainable energy future. NEEP operates across the 12 states and the District of Columbia in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic region. Their goal is to assist these states in reducing building-sector greenhouse gas emissions in alignment with their targets by driving regional collaboration and market transformation. NEEP focuses on various components crucial for the rapid decarbonization of the regional buildings sector, such as policies and regulations to address building emissions, market transformation for electric space and water heating, community-led solutions, workforce diversity, and replicable low-carbon retrofit models. The organization supports collaboration among government, industry, community groups, academia, and advocates to drive long-term regional change. Their approach involves fostering collaboration and innovation, developing research and tools, and disseminating knowledge to accomplish their vision of transforming homes, buildings, and communities into efficient, affordable, low-carbon, and resilient places to live and work.
