North Tahoe Public Utility District - Company Profile

North Tahoe Public Utility District (NTPUD) was established in 1948 under the State of California Public Utilities Code with a focus on providing sewer services to the residents of the north shore of Lake Tahoe, covering a service area from the Nevada state line in Crystal Bay to Dollar Hill, including communities like Kings Beach, Tahoe Vista, Brockway Vista, Carnelian Bay, Cedar Flat, and Agate Bay.

In 1967, the District expanded its services to include water management, followed by the creation of the Recreation and Parks Department in 1968. Additionally, the District is responsible for managing and maintaining most of the public beaches in its service area as well as overseeing the North Tahoe Regional Park in Tahoe Vista.

Furthermore, the District is the proprietor and administrator of the North Tahoe Event Center. Presently, NTPUD serves 5,524 sewer connections and 3,828 metered water connections.

Overall, NTPUD's comprehensive utility services, longstanding presence, and ownership of key public amenities like the Event Center position it as a significant entity in its region, with potential for further growth and impact.
