New Directions Career Center (NDCC) is a nonprofit organization founded in 1980 with a mission to empower women in transition to achieve and maintain economic self-sufficiency. Originally established to support "displaced homemakers" re-entering the labor market due to widowhood or divorce, the organization has evolved over four decades to become a leading advocate for women's career development.

Through holistic career counseling and development services, NDCC has touched over 65,000 lives, helping women define their personal visions of career success and overcome employment barriers. Its comprehensive curriculum, facilitated by a team of Licensed Professional Counselors, focuses on self-assessment, self-compassion, confidence-building, career exploration, education preparation, and advanced self-marketing skills.
