Neighborhood Music School

Neighborhood Music School (NMS) is a non-profit community arts organization, founded in 1911, dedicated to deepening the human experience and building community through the performing arts. NMS is the largest of its kind in Connecticut and one of the top ten in the nation. It serves over 2,400 students from 80+ cities and towns annually, offering individual and group instruction in music, dance, drama, and film, along with more than 100 weekly ensembles. The organization also includes an arts-integrated preschool and a theatre-based middle school, demonstrating a comprehensive approach to arts education. Additionally, NMS provides significant financial aid, offering close to $500,000 in tuition support to over 500 students every year.
