NCW Libraries is on a mission to connect the people of North Central Washington to vital resources and opportunities. Established in 1960, the organization provides public library service to over 250,000 people in Chelan, Douglas, Ferry, Grant, and Okanogan counties, covering a sprawling 14,497 square-mile service area – about a quarter of Washington State's land-surface area and making it the largest library in the state. NCW Libraries is governed by a regional board with trustees from each county, primarily funded by property taxes, and proportional fees from incorporated cities and towns. Its extensive collection of over 700,000 books and materials is accessible through 30 community libraries, two bookmobiles, and Mail Order Library Service. Despite its vital role, there is no recent investment or disclosed investors as of now. For more information, visit ncwlibraries.org.
