National Gas, with the slogan "Securing Britain’s Energy," is a leading energy organization in the United Kingdom. The company comprises of three businesses – National Gas Transmission, National Gas Services, and National Gas Metering. They own and operate the National Transmission System (NTS), responsible for transporting gas to over half a million businesses, 23 million homes, and more than 30 power stations. The current NTS consists of nearly 5,000 miles of high-pressure pipes, driven by a fleet of over 60 gas compressors, and employs more than 1,800 people directly. Their operations indirectly support hundreds of thousands of jobs in industries reliant on gas. The last investment in the company was a Secondary Market investment on 26 July 2024, with Macquarie Asset Management as the investors. National Gas operates in the Energy and Oil and Gas industries, playing a crucial role in the UK's energy infrastructure and economy.
