National Association of Attorneys General

The National Association of Attorneys General (NAAG) is a nonpartisan national forum for America’s attorneys general and their staff, supporting them in fulfilling their responsibilities since 1907. NAAG fosters collaboration among its members to address crucial issues such as anticorruption, consumer protection, and tobacco regulation. The organization offers resources to safeguard the rule of law and the U.S. Constitution, serving as a vital support system for all 50 U.S. states, the District of Columbia, and American Samoa, Guam, the Northern Mariana Islands, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands. As the chief legal officers in their jurisdictions, attorneys general represent the public interest and counsel government agencies and legislatures.

NAAG’s focus on collaboration, insight, and expertise empowers and champions America’s attorneys general. The association facilitates information sharing, provides strategic and legal consulting, and offers continuing legal education programs.
