Founded in 1998, the Municipality of Chatham-Kent is a single-tier municipality covering almost 2,500 square kilometers with a population of over 100,000. The municipality faces the unique challenge of providing services to both rural and small urban centers, each with distinct and diverse needs. It has been committed to respecting the heritage and supporting the individual communities within its borders.

Chatham-Kent, located in south-western Ontario, boasts a temperate climate and borders both Lake Erie and Lake St. Clair, offering diverse water-related recreational activities. The region's economy is predominantly based on agriculture and manufacturing, with a growing service/commercial sector. This area is positioning itself for growth by focusing on green energy and emerging manufacturing technologies.

The last investment of $25.00KGrant was made on 24 February 2023 by the Energizing Life Community Fund. The region is supported by two post-secondary educational institutions and its strategic plans are based on decisions made collaboratively with 400 citizen volunteers. Moreover, the intersection of Highway 401 enables residents to access neighboring communities within a few hours, making it an attractive location for potential growth and investment.
