MOTOSHOP Technology Tools was founded in 2013 by Advance Auto Parts with a mission to assist automotive shops in expanding their businesses and providing better service to their customers. As the largest aftermarket automotive parts supplier in the U.S., Advance Auto Parts recognized the challenges faced by automotive shops and the necessity for a comprehensive set of technology tools to support their success. To accomplish this goal, Advance acquired two automotive-focused startups, DriverSide and MotoLOGIC, in 2011, in a bid to start delivering marketing, repair, and diagnostic solutions to automotive shops.
In 2013, MOTOSHOP Technology Tools was officially launched to consolidate the products under one brand name, symbolizing an increased investment in technology, product development, and customer support. The initial suite of products, including MotoREV Shop Marketing and MotoLOGIC Repair & Diagnostics, were soon followed by MotoSKILL Shop Tech Training and MotoSHOP Shop Management System. With these four integrated products, MOTOSHOP has become a technology provider to thousands of automotive shops across the country.
