Modern Chemicals & Services Company Limited (MCS) was established in 2009 as a joint venture between Modern Chemicals Co. Ltd. from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and EPC Group from France. The company operates in manufacturing through two divisions: one for explosives manufacture, sales, and supply, and the other for blasting advisory services.
Strategic location selection for production sites has been a key focus for Modern Chemicals & Services Company to be close to customers in respective regions. The company runs operations through two production sites, with one located in the Western Province and the other in the Eastern Province. Both facilities produce a range of explosives products for industries such as civil works, mining, quarries, and the cement sector within the kingdom.
The EPC Group, established in 1893, is primarily involved in manufacturing and supplying commercial explosives and tailor-made services to the mining, cement, aggregates, and civil engineering industries. Over the years, the group has expanded into a multinational organization with activities in Europe, Africa, and the Middle East.
