Melton Technologies (MTI) was originally founded in 1984 by Chuck Melton as Integrated Transportation Software (ITS) with a mission to make it easier for trucking companies to embrace new technology and improve their bottom line with high-quality trucking software. Melton's background in working with Pilot Freight Carriers in the late 70s and early 80s allowed him to foresee the potential for smaller companies to compete with larger ones following deregulation, provided they had the right technology.

ITS was a pioneer in offering PC-based trucking software with integration to the then-new satellite tracking offerings of QUALCOMM. The company's acquisition by Qualcomm, Inc. in 1994 and subsequent reacquisition by Melton in May 1997 under the MTI banner highlight the company's resilience and commitment to its vision.

Today, MTI stands as a leading provider of PC-based trucking software, offering comprehensive solutions for fleet management operations, including dispatch operations, billing and settlements, as well as maintenance and driver compliance. With a strong foundation in the transportation industry, headquartered in the United States, Melton Technologies continues to drive innovation and efficiency in the trucking sector.
