Meals on Wheels of Mercer County (MOWMC) is a comprehensive nutrition program founded in 1973, dedicated to providing nutritious meals and services to homebound participants in the Mercer County area. The organization delivers one hot meal and an additional cold meal per day, Monday through Friday, with the support of committed volunteers. Princeton Area Community Foundation provided a grant investment to MOWMC on 20 January 2023. In addition to meal delivery, MOWMC offers nutrition counseling, education, shelf-stable groceries, 'Blizzard Boxes' for inclement weather, and pet food for recipients' furry companions. Serving areas including East Windsor, Ewing, Hightstown, Lawrence, Princeton, Trenton, West Windsor, and specific sections of Hamilton Township, MOWMC aims to help participants maintain independence, dignity, health, and well-being.
