Maxi Security

Maxi Security is a company established in 1991 by Danie and Michelle de Villiers, which has experienced significant growth over the years, currently employing 4000 individuals. The company underwent a structural change in May 2004 to form a Black Empowerment company, with Phillip Makhubela and Thandeka Mandindi holding a majority 55% share. Following unfortunate circumstances and the passing of Phillip Makhubela in December 2010, Ackim Dube acquired his shareholding in February 2011.

Maxi Security is a registered member of SIRA (Security Industry Regulatory Authority) and is associated with SSEO (South African Security Employers Organisation). The company holds a Level Three Contributor status in B-BBEE (Broad Based Black Economic Empowerment) verification with a B-BBEE Procurement Recognition Level of 110% (Certificate Number MAS 00285-GREV1). Moreover, the company is accredited by SASSETA (Safety & Security Skills Education Training Authority). Maxi Security is engaged in sustainable social projects, funded internally, aimed at uplifting disadvantaged individuals in rural communities, with active projects in Shosonguve and Ekangala, including initiatives at the Strauss Secondary School in Ekangala.
