Massachusetts Association of Minority Law Enforcement Officers (MAMLEO) is a 501 (c) (3) organization, founded in 1968 with the purposes of recruiting and retaining black police officers in Boston, and to be a service organization in the community. MAMLEO promotes Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) initiatives within law enforcement across Massachusetts that directly address policy concerns around discriminatory practices (access to fair hiring and promotion) in law enforcement. MAMLEO is a leader in advancing police reform initiatives as well as health and wellness initiatives for both law enforcement and the wider community.
