Maple Leaf Angels is a not-for-profit membership organization that has been connecting accredited investors and passionate entrepreneurs since 2007. The MLA members, high net worth private individuals, invest in seed and early stage technology companies individually but benefit from the collective knowledge and networks of the group. They aim to invest between $250,000 AND $1,000,000 in each opportunity. Through its subsidiary MLACC, Maple Leaf Angels is the general partner for MLA48 Fund Limited Partnership, which has successfully invested in 4 startups and recently closed its second fund, MLA48 Fund II. This fund will consider investing up to $150,000 per company into early stage startups with a 48-hour decision-making process. Maple Leaf Angels enables high potential companies to grow and realize their potential by bringing together investment, experience, and a network of partners. The members enjoy a community of like-minded individuals, networking opportunities, and professional development. To date, the members have invested over $30 million in 50+ companies and participated in 12 successful exits. Based in Canada, Maple Leaf Angels plays a critical role in the larger entrepreneurial eco-system, providing a streamlined investment process and support for early stage startups.
