Manila Water

Manila Water is a publicly listed company founded in 1997 and headquartered in the Philippines. The company has significantly contributed to the Philippine water sector, holding the concessionaire role for the East Zone in Metro Manila and Rizal, serving over 7.3 million people. In 2021, it was granted a 25-year franchise by the Philippine Government. Before Manila Water's establishment, only 26% of the population in the East Zone had access to 24-hour water supply. However, with the company's efforts, nearly 100% of the central distribution system has access to water, and non-revenue water (NRW) has decreased from 63% to 13%. The company's significant achievements include providing clean and affordable water to approximately two million people from marginalized communities through its "Water for the Community" program. Manila Water has also expanded its expertise to other key cities in the Philippines, such as Boracay Island, Laguna Province, Clark, Cebu Province, and Davao. Additionally, the company has ventured into the international market, operating in Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia, and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
