Mamamoni

Mamamoni is a financial services startup with a vision for empowering women through mobile banking and vocational training for financial independence and business growth. The company offers banking services and loans to women, including the banked, under-banked, and unbanked, through its branchless banking model. Users can perform transactions via mobile phones, eliminating the need to visit physical bank branches. This innovative service enables women to receive payments for goods and services directly to their mobile phones. Participants undergo vocational training, register for Mobile Money, and learn to use their mobile phones for financial transactions. Their phone numbers act as bank accounts, allowing them to save money and manage their finances. Mamamoni also provides training on business management and growth, along with loans, to support ventures. For women without existing businesses, vocational training and a loan to start their entrepreneurial journey are provided. Founded in 2015, Mamamoni received a €250.00K grant investment on 21 February 2024 from the Challenge Fund for Youth Employment. With its focus on financial inclusion and women's empowerment, Mamamoni is poised to make a significant impact in the fintech and banking industries.
