Magpie Brewing Company

Magpie is a local craft beer company from South Korea. Magpie Brewing Company was started in 2012 with the simple goal of making good unique beer. We crafted our first two recipes, Magpie Pale Ale and Magpie Porter, to be big on flavor but still easy drinking. Since then we've focused on creating beers that maintain this balance while also exploring new and exciting styles and interesting, original ingredients. In 2016 we opened our own brewery. Located on the northeast side of Jeju island, we set out to build a brewery that matched the philosophy and aesthetic of our products. Starting out with an empty tangerine warehouse and packaging plant as the foundation, we updated and repurposed the facility into a modern brewery. Jeju has been the perfect new home for us, surrounded by nature with the cleanest air and water in the country, the impact on our beer is immeasurable. Although many people know Magpie for our retail locations where we first started, it's our beer that is the real reason for our success. Customers shouldn’t have to travel for great beer - so our goal is offer it across the country. We split our offerings into two groups - our core beers and our seasonals. The core lineup is available year-round and suitable for almost every drinking situation, whether in a high-end restaurant or back-alley pub. Our seasonal beers are limited releases, and by nature these beers are a bit more unique and tend to use ingredients special to the seasons.
