The Long Beach Community Foundation (LBCF) was established in 1996 with a mission to initiate positive change through charitable giving, stewardship, and strategic grantmaking. Led by Marcelle Epley, MBA, President & CEO, LBCF manages over $70 million in charitable funds, including donor advised funds, funds designated for specific nonprofit agencies, scholarship funds, and legacy funds. They accept contributions in various forms, including cash, securities, closely-held stock, mutual fund shares, retirement plan assets, and real estate. LBCF collaborates with professional advisors such as trust attorneys, tax attorneys, financial advisors, financial planners, estate planners, and accountants to help clients achieve their charitable goals. As a National Standards accredited organization, LBCF prioritizes fiduciary responsibility to oversee and ensure proper investment and distribution of funds both now and in perpetuity on behalf of donors.
