Local Futures

Local Futures, formerly known as the International Society for Ecology and Culture, is a non-profit organization founded in 1975 with a mission to promote a systemic shift towards economic localization to renew ecological, social, and spiritual well-being. Headquartered in the United Kingdom, the organization has offices in the US and Australia. As a pioneer in the new economy movement, Local Futures has been advocating for over four decades for a shift away from dependence on global monopolies towards decentralized, regional economies. The organization achieves this through the production of books, films, and other educational materials, complemented by activist-oriented conferences and workshops worldwide.
