Lloyd's Cricket Club

Lloyd's Cricket Club, founded in 1974, has a rich history dating back to 1922 and boasts an impressive lineup of notable County and Test cricketers as part of its legacy, including Sir Gubby Allen, Freddie Brown, Peter May, R.M.V. Robins, and Brian Valentine. The club's development from a Lloyd's XI to an official Lloyd's Cricket Club in 1974 under the guidance of Bertie Brasier has led to the establishment of enduring fixtures with Sevenoaks Vine and Woodford Wells, alongside matches against the Stock Exchange and other City institutions. Currently, the club consistently plays around 10 regular season fixtures, with plans for expansion to accommodate its growing membership. Furthermore, the club has a tradition of touring, with successful trips to a range of locations including Hong Kong, Paris, South Africa, Singapore, Malaysia, Bermuda, Argentina, Brazil, and the USA. The most recent tour to South Africa in 2017 was marked by exceptional hospitality from the hosts. Overall, Lloyd's Cricket Club continues to thrive, with a commitment to both on-field success and off-field camaraderie.
