The format, tailored for modern sports enthusiasts, offers a 3-day, 54-hole, no-cut, shotgun-style play, enhancing the fan experience and driving engaging storylines. In 2022, LIV Golf initiated an eight-event 'Invitational Series' and introduced The International Series as a fresh addition to the Asian Tour. The following year, the league expanded to host 14 events globally and introduced the game's first Team franchises. In 2024, LIV Golf extended its reach to iconic venues across Asia, Europe, the Middle East, and the US, introducing the game's first-ever player Promotion and Relegation and a Player Transfer Window in partnership with the Asian Tour.
